Eco-Cubby

Over the course of 1 school year Edwards Moore collaborated with the children from Ripponlea Kindergarten. The aim being to conceptualise the notion of sustainability through the design of a cubby house.

The children took us on a journey- one where imagination rules, where delight can be found in the simplest of forms and spontaneity is the fuel that drives all outcomes. The need for a demountable, mobile, movable, unique, customisable and durable structure was called for which could be the blank canvas for their dreams and visions.

A series of inter-connecting shapes which could be easily assembled (and then dis-assembled) to keep up with their constantly evolving young minds..

Thank you to all the children and staff at Ripponlea Kindergarten who made the journey so enjoyable, especially little Drew for his inspiration and enthusiasm.
