Invisible Bar

A series of mobile bars designed to fade into their surroundings.
A matt white powdercoated welded steel frame with perforated steel shelving and integrated lighting, acts as the grip for moving the units
a mitred edge white resin top appears paper thin, wrapped in a mirrored cladding detailed to conceal the opening to the internal storage area. Push hinges and embedded magnets enable the unit to operate in ‘open mode’ if required without any visual fittings or fixings.
Mounted on lockable multi directional castors they are easily moved to suit the space / configuration and were designed to suit a variety of functions for William Angliss TAFE, manufactured locally by Polymath Fabrications.
The photography, by Benjamin Hosking, inspired by the work of Australian photographer Murray Fredericks.”
