Power Street Loop

A project to transform an unused site next to CityLink, known as the Power Street Loop. Since the Loop's creation in 2000, there has been significant residential and commercial development in the area and it has emerged as the city's arts and cultural heart.

As part of the project CIty Link launched a competition that asked the community for great design ideas that could be incorporated into the project. Edwards Moore propose a new bushland aerial walkway  floating above the native bush and wetlands below. Culminating in a spectacular unique vantage point to enjoy the evolving city skyline.

A pedestrian connection to both sides of Sturt street, complimenting the existing Arts precinct in creating a new outdoor event/ performance space, and an urban retreat for contemplation in an otherwise dense urban fabric.

The proposed walkway and viewing deck will take visitors 8m metres high for dramatic views of the city skyline and the opportunity to discover the rich biodiversity of the habitat below.
